About Department of Software Engineering
Software Engineering (SE) is a bridge connecting the basic concepts and principles of CS with the variety of users who can benefit from technologies based upon those principles. It includes the design and development of software systems which are effective, efficient, robust, maintainable, and maximally useful and usable. It also includes the design and development of techniques, processes and higher level tools by which these applications can be developed in a timely, cost effective and sustainable manner.
At both levels it requires a systematic approach which deals with quantifiable measures of quality and effectiveness, as well as attention to the critical nature of the various products of the process. Therefore requires familiarity with the basic needs and processes in the various application domains, with the principles of good engineering practice and with the underlying concepts and principles of computer science. It requires expertise in problem analysis, solution design, program development, documentation and understanding of the ways in which humans interact with technological systems.

About Department of Computer Sciences
The exponential growth and ubiquity of technology and computing over the last decade has led to a growing demand for professionals with computer science degrees. Gaining a Bachelor degree in computer science will give individuals a huge advantage in today’s employment market.
Computer Science is a discipline concerned with the analysis, design, implementation and maintenance of the computer software systems used in almost every profession. Due to this fact, computer scientists must be well versed in the technologies needed for acquisition, representation, storage, transmission, transformation and use of information in digital form. Further, they must also be capable of working closely with the members of other professions associated with computing. BSCS program provides wide and deep knowledge of theory and applications of software in different fields and allows students to choose an area of specialization in the domain of their own interest.

About Department of Information Technology
Information Technology (IT) in its broadest sense encompasses all aspects of computing technology. IT, as an academic discipline, is concerned with issues related to advocating for users and meeting their needs within an organizational and societal context through the selection, creation, application, integration and administration of information technologies. The challenging field of IT needs creative and knowledgeable professionals committed to do quality work. BSIT program aims to provide students with the skills and knowledge to take on appropriate professional positions in IT upon graduation and grow into leadership positions or pursue research or graduate studies in the field. The program is aimed to produce graduates who are flexible, adaptable to change, and able to face the challenges of Knowledge Revolution. Towards these ends, the program offers a set of foundation courses, core courses, supportive courses followed by the specialization courses.
