Master of Visual Arts (M.V.A.)

The programs are designed to teach the students to refine techniques and processes in a variety of media and develop the ability to create sculptures by manipulating art media, arrangement of images and elements. We try to bridge the gap between sleep and awakening, bringing the emotional center of students up to speed, if the students’ emotional speed of perception is to be directed to objective art such as sculpture.
The visual arts are all types of art that are visual in nature. This can be anything from a painting to a design for a dress. Studying the visual arts means studying the details of one of these common art forms.

Educational Objectives:

  • Students learn the ability to create expressive sculptures by using art elements, texture, form, proportion, emphasis, balance and negative space
  • Students will learn to create divergent, novel and inspired applications of art elements and principles that express content.
  • Students develop the ability to create sculptures that effectively communicate subject matter, metaphor, themes and symbols
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the creative process, how art and artists function in society
  • Analyze the economic, political and social environment in which artists and arts organizations operate, including legal, ethical and policy issues
  • Identify and evaluate how artwork is interpreted, presented, documented and archived
  • Critique and compare the structure, operations and management of organizations that present or produce artwork on various scales


  • Develop practice-led methodologies through Investigation, analysis and synthesis of complex information to plan and execute substantial creative research projects.
  • Generate and evaluate complex ideas and concepts at an abstract level using cognitive, technical and creative skills and relate them to their own creative works and to recent developments in the field.
  • Critically reflect upon and evaluate theoretical, conceptual and aesthetic aspects of creative practice, and apply it in the production of creative works that contribute to new situations in professional practice.
  • Design and develop creative works that communicate theoretical, aesthetic, conceptual and imaginative propositions to specialist and non-specialist audiences.
  • Develop an expansive and inclusive world view of the field that values different global perspectives, identities, concerns and goals.


  • 30 Credits, 3 semesters, Full-time or Evening/Week-end Classes

Eligibility/Admission Requirements:

B.Arch. /BCRP/B.Engg. (Civil)/B.Int.Arch./B.L.Arch./BFA/B.DES. Or equivalent (16 year of Education) with CGPA of 2.5
